|Screen Pass Version 6.8 User Guide|
The auto shutdown feature allows you to shutdown idle computers when there is no logon session. (Or, in the case of Vista and Windows 7 when a logon session is not attached to the console.)
The auto shutdown feature works in conjunction with the pre-logon screen saver. To use the auto shutdown feature, an administrator assigns a prelogon screensaver and timeout, and also an auto shutdown delay. After the the screen saver starts and the auto shutdown delay expires, the workstation will shutdown, restart, or hibernate, as configured by the auto shutdown action.
For Vista and Windows 7, users may be users logged on, but if the console has been switched away from a logon session, the workstion is subject to auto shutdown.
