The Organization Overview
The Organization Overview serves as a “one-stop-shop” combining today’s data from Live Reports with historical goal and workload data from Insights to help leaders find quick answers to common questions like:
- What percent of the organization is working today?
- How many hours of productivity have we achieved today? How does it compare to our goals?
- Are engagement and productivity trending up or down over the last 30 days?
- Which teams are at risk of burnout, disengagement or misalignment?
Learn more about how to use the Organization Overview in the following sections.
Virtual Office Visibility (TODAY)

Click on the link to icon to open Today’s Team Pulse Dashboard for additional live productivity and availability insights. The Virtual Office Visibility section
Today’s Activity
See what percentage of the org is online at any given time throughout the day.
Active users today includes users who have had more than one minute of activity during the current day divided by all users who have been active in the last 30 days.
Within the chart, you can also compare the average active users at this particular time on the same day of the week over the last 30 days (i.e. if you are accessing this on a Tuesday at 3 p.m., the comparison will be against the average number of active users over the prior four Tuesdays at 3 p.m.)
Live activity status displays a percentage of users who are currently active, passive or inactive (current live status ÷ total users who have been active in the current day). This information is helpful in understanding current availability. Note: For status definitions and examples, click here.
Click View activity to see the % of users currently active on each team, in order of lowest to highest.
Today’s Productivity Goal Attainment
Evaluate progress toward your organization’s productivity goal for the current day, and goal attainment for each day over the past week. See how today’s productivity goal attainment compares to the average productivity goal attainment at this particular time on the same day of the week over the last 30 days (i.e. if you are accessing this on a Tuesday at 3 p.m., the comparison will be against the average number of active users over the prior four Tuesdays at 3 p.m.)
Click View goal attainment to see a breakdown of current productivity attainment by team.
The trend chart displays the previous seven days of productivity goal attainment. It does not include the current day’s data. This data is helpful in providing context on how the organization has been performing recently.
Example: If productivity has been extraordinarily high the past few days because of a time-sensitive project, that may explain why it is lower today. The overall productivity average is still meeting expectations, so lower productivity today is nothing to worry about.
Note on Goals: Select plans offer the ability to customize goals. For these accounts, the goal used for all calculations is the highest Productive Hrs/Day goal set for any of the teams being evaluated (all Viewable Groups). Learn more about how to set goals here.
For plans that do not include the ability to customize goals, the goal used for all calculations is set to the default industry standard of 6 productive hours per day. Learn more about ActivTrak's benchmarks and goals here.

Click the link to icon to open The Executive Summary Dashboard for additional organization-wide insights. Above the widgets, view the average productive hours metric for your entire organization over the last 30 days.
Note: Data displayed is based on a user’s Viewable Groups. This data refreshes once per day.
The Organization Trends section
Workload
Assess the organization’s current workload level and see how it compares to the last 30 days. The pie chart represents the percentage of teams at each of the four workload levels, based on the following logic:
Optimal: >=70% of team members have healthy workloads
High: >=50% of team members are overutilized
Low: >=50% of team members are underutilized
Varied: Assorted workloads with no clear trend
A variation is also displayed (+/-) to compare progress month-over-month.
Click View Workloads to see a breakdown of teams with workloads that are not optimal and have opportunities to prevent burnout or improve capacity by redistributing work.
Productivity Goal Attainment
See what percentage of the organization is currently achieving productivity goals, compared to the previous 30 days’ goal attainment. The pie chart represents the % of team productivity goal attainment statuses, based on the following logic:
Achieving: >=100% of productivity goal attained
Approaching: 90-99.9% of productivity goal attained
Missing: <89.99% of productivity goal attained
A variation is also displayed (+/-) to compare progress month-over-month.
Click View goal attainment to see a breakdown of teams that are missing their productivity goals to find opportunities for improvement.
