New App Navigation Menu

As of Jan 20, 2021, the ActivTrak App’s navigation menu has changed to make it easier and faster to find what you need using an intuitive grouping of pages, the order they are shown, and more identifiable names. Customers informed us that our legacy navigation was confusing and hard to find the right page. For example, customers often had to look between the Settings and Account sections a couple of times before finding the right page.

Intuitive New Groupings

The new navigation groups similar pages together to make it easier to see all aspects of a feature or similar types of settings pages. The following pages were moved to make it easier to find:

  • All alarms based features are now under ‘Alarms’ including:
    • Screenshots and all of its subpages (Latest Per User, History, Redaction, and Flagging)
    • Video History is now shown as “Videos” under Alarms. (Note: Videos are only shown to those with this add-on)
    • Alarm Log and Risk Level are no longer under Live Reports but under Alarms.
    • Notifications were removed from Account and placed under Alarms.
    • Note: Both the Screenshot and Video configuration pages have been removed as those features can be configured using the Alarm Configuration page.
  • Settings and Account are now under Settings. We’ve grouped the similar settings pages together to make it easier to see and find the right page.
    • Users & Groups now includes everything related to the employees with the agents on their computers including:
      • User Agents (renamed from ‘Storage’)
      • Groups
      • User Aliases
      • Computer Aliases
      • Chromebook Users
      • Do Not Track
    • Access now shows all the pages related to providing App access to colleagues. This includes:
      • App Access (renamed from ‘Access’)
      • ActivTrak Profile
      • Weekly Digest
    • Both security pages now show under the new Security name including:
      • Configuration (where users can set up their SSO)
      • Audit (showing the Security Audit log and all changes made within the app)
    • Blocking is now under Settings

Live Reports

We’ve reordered the reports under Live Reports based on popularity. This makes it faster to find your favorite reports. The new order is:

  • Top Users
  • Productivity
  • Working Hours
  • Top Websites
  • Top Applications
  • Top Categories
  • Activity Log

Note:  Alarm Log and Risk Level are now under Alarms. No other changes have been made to the pages.
