Windows Agent 8.1.16 Release Notes

ActivTrak’s latest Windows Agent includes enhancements to reduce activity over-reporting,  a new method to identify users via their user principal name when available, and updated logic to increase the accuracy of activity log durations. 

Reduce activity over-reporting

Windows Agent 8.1.16  improves activity data accuracy by properly detecting the lock message. This prevents over-reporting issues occurring with excessive time reported for the activity prior to transitioning into Modern Standby.

Identify users via their user principal name when available

Windows Agent 8.1.16 introduces new logic that identifies user sessions via an end user's user principal name when available. User principal names exist for systems that are bound to AzureAD or Active Directory. This increases the accuracy of activity logs and ensures that activity is associated with the correct user.

Updated logic to increase the accuracy of activity log durations

Windows Agent 8.1.16 includes updated logic for rounding agent log durations. This logic results in more accurate durations and activity totals for end users.
