We've added a new capability to help you get cleaner reporting and optimize your license usage when team members work across multiple devices.
Key Points:
- The change only affects customers with Next Gen User Management enabled (currently in Early Access)
- Customers can verify Next Gen User Management access by checking if they see the Users page (Settings > Users & Groups > Users)
- The merge feature has been moved from the User Agents page to the User Detail page linked to each user from the Users page
- This change is invisible to customers not on Next Gen User Management
What's new
You can now merge activity data from multiple Agent instances into a single User record. This means when someone works on different devices, you'll see their complete activity picture in one unified view instead of three separate records.
Why this matters
Many of your team members probably work across multiple devices throughout the day. Before this update, each device may show up as a separate Agents, which could:
- Create fragmented reporting that was hard to interpret
- Lead to higher license consumption than necessary
- Result in double-counting when someone was active on multiple devices at once
Now you can combine all that activity into one clear, complete record.
How it works
The merge happens at the user level and pulls all activity data into the most recently active Agent. You'll keep all the activity history while getting the unified view you need for accurate reporting.
To merge activity data:
- Go to the Users page and select the User from the table
- In the Agents Associated with User panel, select the Agents you want to merge
- Click the Merge activity data button and confirm
Important: This action can't be undone, so make sure the Agents belong to the same person before merging.
Getting started
This feature is available now in your Users page. Look for team members with multiple Agents associated with their User record—these are your best candidates for merging.
