ActivTrak Agent Deployment Guide
There are many ways to deploy the ActivTrak Agent, depending on your preferences and company policies. Below, find a list of methods including notes on compatibility with Mac and Windows operating systems and silent deployment (installation unknown to the user).
Note: With silent deployments, we advise clearing the browser and download history of the device after the Agent has been installed.
For Linux and alternative OS users, or for those using Google Chromebooks, the ChromeOS Agent can be installed to collect any activity within the browser. It will not, however, collect application activity data. To learn more about the ChromeOS Agent (including installation instructions), click here.
Windows and macOS Agents collect both browser and application activity data. To learn more about what data the ActivTrak Agent collects, click here.
Tip: Account Admins can quickly & easily deploy Agents directly from the Admin Panel.
