Creating a user establishes a framework for administering an individual user’s display name, identifiers, agent assignments and historical data deletions. User creation does not affect the license count, as licensing is based on the number of Agents, not users.
- Click the teal Add user button in the top right, which will open the following drawer:
- Select the user's tracking status (Tracked or Untracked) using the toggle at the top
- Enter a Display Name for the user to easily identify them in reports and dashboards
- Enter the available identifiers for the user, including at least one of the following: User principal name, Email, or Employee ID
- Optional: Click the + Assign agent button at the bottom to reassign an Agent from an existing user
- Click Add User in the bottom right
Important:
- A new user will have an Unlicensed status. When an assigned Agent captures productivity data and begins consuming a license, the user status changes to Active.
- Both display names and identifiers must be unique within the account. Users can have multiple identifiers of each type, but only one display name, which is how they appear in reports.
- When an Agent begins capturing productivity data, but no email is detected and the Agent cannot be automatically assigned to an existing user, a new user will be created using the Agent's device login information as the Display Name
