Warning!
Deleting a user and the associated historical data is permanent and irreversible. All activity data will be removed from ActivTrak.
Use the Delete users & data action to permanently remove a user from ActivTrak, including their user record and all historical activity data. This is typically done when:
- An employee leaves the organization, and no data retention is required
- Removing duplicate or erroneous user records
- Complying with data deletion requests
- Cleaning up test accounts from trial periods
For a single user
- Find the user using the search bar or applying filters
- Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the user's row
- Select Delete user & data
- Confirm your selection in the popup window by clicking Delete users & data
For multiple users
- Select multiple users using the checkboxes to the left of the table
- Click the Delete users & data button at the top of the table
- Acknowledge that the data will be permanently deleted and that the action cannot be undone
- Click Delete users & data to confirm
Important:
- When you delete a user record, ActivTrak will retain their identifiers as Global Logins on the Do Not Track list to prevent future tracking.
- This action frees up any licenses associated with the user. For example, if a user has two Agents assigned to their record, deleting the user and the associated data frees both licenses.
- Unlicensed users do not have assigned Agents; therefore, this action maintains your current license usage.
