Feature description
Starting January 12, 2026, users with accounts created before October 27, 2025, can seamlessly switch between our Legacy Navigation and New Navigation experiences. This temporary toggle gives you complete control over which navigation style you prefer, allowing you to explore the updated interface at your own pace while maintaining access to the familiar layout whenever you need it.

- One-click switching between Legacy and New Navigation without page refresh or workflow interruption
- Automatic preference saving that applies every time you log in
- Flexible exploration with the option to switch back to Legacy Navigation for quick tasks or familiar workflows
- Universal access for all users on eligible accounts, regardless of role or permission level
- No feature impact—all reports, features and data remain fully available (only navigation organization and some report names are changing to improve clarity)
Use cases
Existing users can explore the new navigation at their own pace while maintaining access to familiar Legacy Navigation for quick reference or time-sensitive tasks. Whether you want to gradually familiarize yourself with the updated organization or need to switch back temporarily to complete urgent work, the toggle keeps you in control of your experience.

- Primary personas: All ActivTrak users on accounts created before October 27, 2025, including Admins, Managers, Team Leaders, and individual contributors
- Fit indicators: Users who want flexibility during the transition to New Navigation, teams that need time to adjust workflows, or anyone who prefers having control over their interface experience
How to access
- Direct Access: Available on all pages within the ActivTrak platform
- Navigation Path: Look for the toggle at the top of the left navigation menu, located directly under the ActivTrak logo and above the main navigation options

Migration notes
This feature does not replace existing functionality. Both Legacy Navigation and New Navigation provide access to the same features and data with different organizational structures.
